In Russia can make the creation of a Isuzu D-Max pickup truck

The Japanese company Isuzu is preparing to expand its own lineup in the Russian market. At the end of this year, the production of languid trucks starts at the Isuzu production site, located on the UAZ area. In addition, the company is considering the possibility of organizing the assembly in Russia of D-Max pickups, which are currently imported into our country, according to Vedomosti, citing a representative of Isuzu. According to the interlocutor of the publication, this will happen if this model is successfully brought to the Russian market.

Note, there has not yet been an official release about the start of pickup sales in our country. Nevertheless, information about D-Max is already available on the Russian site of Isuzu Rus JSC, however, model prices are not indicated. According to the portal, the pickup will be offered with all-wheel drive and a diesel engine of 2, five liters, delivering one hundred sixty-three hp. The motor is combined with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

Now in Russia they assemble Isuzu trucks weighing five to eighteen tons, which, in addition to our country, are sold in Belarus and Kazakhstan. Isuzu Rus JSC produces about 2,500 cars a year. According to Vedomosti, today the localization of machines exceeds 30%, in the future it will increase. In the next two years, the company intends to double production and expand its export geography. Namely, they plan to sell trucks in Azerbaijan.

Recall that earlier Isuzu cars were produced as part of a joint venture with the Russian company Sollers. However, in December two thousand and fifteen years, Sollers left the project by selling its 50% stake to its partners – Isuzu Motors Limited and Sojitz Corporation.
